Le Sound sur Donville-Les-Bains

Close to being the best restaurant in western Cotentin! No reservation required, and we got a table for two with a sea view. The service was friendly, welcoming, attentive, and efficient. The cuisine was inventive and excellent, with beautifully balanced flavors. The tuiles were superb. The monkfish was perfect, and the cebecero de port was magnificent. The bill was reasonable. A minor point: the wine pairing for the starter was a little off, and perhaps the vinegar could have been caramelized with the pork. Otherwise, everything was perfect. BRAVO! It's been a long time since I've had such a delightful experience in this part of Normandy.

During a week of thalassotherapy, we stayed at Le Sound restaurant on a half-board basis. The cuisine, all of it, is of an excellent standard, with a fine wine list. Nothing to complain about. The presentation of the dishes is appealing. The staff is efficient, friendly, and even, in some cases, quite charming.

A total disappointment for a €46 menu. Starter: The foie gras arrived lukewarm, served with a stale bread roll soaked in who-knows-what. Main Courses: The seafood sauerkraut had only three measly pieces of fish and very little flavor. BUT it arrived on a plate with dirty edges. I mentioned it to the young waitress, but nothing was done. For my husband, the leg of lamb, cooked for 7 hours, was tasteless and completely uninteresting. Dessert: Beautiful presentation, but unfortunately, the taste was disappointing. What a shame. We had been several times at least two years ago and frankly, we had very fond memories of it. What a pity.

The food was excellent, but the dining room was a bit dated.

Excellent and reasonably priced. We had a great time. They even had a very good children's menu.

A very good restaurant, quite apart from its connection to the spa. The food is truly excellent (the desserts are to die for and the flavor combinations are very interesting), the service is superb (special mention to the head waitress who manages everything so well!), and they offer great recommendations (very good gin, sweet wines...). A must-try!

Excellent, inventive cuisine. The price was quite reasonable: €60 for the set menu and wine. The service was provided by young staff, lacking experience, but they'll improve. We'll be back.

Excellent! I want to thank Sound for the exceptional quality of their dishes!! Indeed, from appetizer to dessert, the experience is magical! It's visually stunning and delicious!! Bravo!

First evening at this establishment for us, and for Sound, first barbecue night. Beautiful stalls stocked with excellent local products: charcuterie, meat, fish, cheeses, and a wide array of desserts. A great success, and the staff were incredibly attentive. All this with sunshine and a great DJ—what better way to spend a fantastic evening? 👏👏👏 to everyone!

Today I had a small set menu for lunch… 100% satisfied and absolutely worth the price.
