Le Stammtisch sur Turckheim

First of all, there are several restaurants right next to each other. Around 12:15 pm, they were all full except for this one. We didn't have much choice, and to be honest, I don't always trust reviews, which aren't always objective. So, the welcome was warm and impeccable. The terrace was lovely and inviting. The interior, where we ate, was a bit austere. The pizza from the children's menu was very good, the sauerkraut a bit pricey, as in Alsace, in a typical restaurant, it's usually between 19 and 22 euros. But according to my wife and brother-in-law, it was good and a generous portion. I ordered a ham hock with Munster sauce. The sauce deserved to be cooked properly, not just a few pieces of melted cheese in the bottom of a cast-iron dish. Then, the ham hock was coated, and a few fresh herbs were added, because presentation is very important. It's not very difficult to make and inexpensive. Anyway, it was well-cooked, and the meat was good quality. Given the price of 24 euros, a small salad with some acidity to balance the richness of the Munster cheese would have been appreciated. Included in the price, of course. In the end, I'm left perplexed; proof of this is that I didn't take any photos except for the receipt. One drawback, however, is the serving hatch next to the toilets, where you can see into the kitchen. Perhaps the cooks should be told to put down their phones. I walked past it three times, and each time I reached into it. Not very professional.

I had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The food was really good and, above all, very generous; it was excellent value for money! The atmosphere was pleasant and the service attentive. I highly recommend it.

Amazing restaurant! So friendly!!!! The atmosphere is really nice and the food is delicious (burger for me and ham hock for my husband). We had a wonderful time celebrating our five-year anniversary. And the little candle on the desserts was so sweet. Thank you so much for the thoughtful touch! I highly recommend it.

We would like to commend the female server. Everything was brought to our table promptly and explained clearly. The food was also very good. We will be back.

The service was very friendly, and the location right by the city gate is truly lovely – it's a very pleasant place to sit. We ordered two salads for €18.30 each: a Salade Paysanne and a Caesar salad. Unfortunately, the Caesar salad consisted mainly of some green salad with only a few strips of turkey breast. For that price, we found the value for money really disappointing. The Paysanne was significantly better, but even then, we felt the price was too high. Overall, the value for money was not convincing. We wouldn't come back.

My family and I came at lunchtime as a group of four. We received a very warm welcome and the food was excellent. I highly recommend the chicken fillet in cream sauce. The only downside was that we were disturbed by some people who started shouting in the restaurant, supposedly because of a long wait. They disturbed everyone else by yelling and insulting the servers and the owner, which is really unacceptable. Aside from this incident, our meal would have been perfect. We will be back!

We had a very good time at this restaurant. The food was very good, and we respected the wait time, knowing there were other people ahead of us. However, a table of nine people next to us were extremely unbearable and left much too far away because they hadn't respected the wait time. One of the men even threatened to kill the owner! My husband and I have the utmost respect for the owner, who managed to behave himself and remain calm in the face of his animals. I will definitely return, and thank you for the good service. It's not easy to work with people like that.

A fantastic place in Turckheim! I had a wonderful time at Stammtisch, in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The service was lovely and very attentive, especially thanks to Éléonore who made the experience even more enjoyable! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. You can tell they genuinely want their customers to have a great time. I highly recommend it!
