12/03/2026: On March 12, 2026, we arrived at the "Hôtel de Paris" brasserie with 50 "seniors," whereas, due to a misunderstanding, only 25 people were expected. Notified mid-morning, the brasserie staff quickly organized our welcome. We hardly waited at all, and we were impressed by the efficiency of the waiter and waitress. The owner was welcoming, attentive, cheerful, and cordial throughout our meal. The menu was simple but quite generous and very good considering its very affordable price. I should mention, for those coming in a group, that the toilet is undersized when there are 70 people in the room: you will need to allow some time for the group between coffee and the next visit... I also really recommend, before and after stopping at the brasserie, a visit to the Musée de la Toile de Jouy (in Jouy en Josas) and, in Bièvres itself, the Maison littéraire de Victor Hugo, superb residence of L.F. Bertin, director of the Journal des débats in the 19th century, located about fifteen minutes' walk from the restaurant.
