Le Vent de Mer sur Les Pieux

After two years we wanted to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary here. We made a reservation and received a friendly written confirmation. The day after the confirmation we were at the restaurant on time and it was closed. We were pissed. A corresponding complaint remained unanswered. Now we have found an absolutely brilliant alternative in Les Pieux! Without a sea view, but better. For us, the 2022 review below is gone with the wind! This restaurant offers everything we are looking for on vacation in France: friendly and helpful service that accepts that we now speak a few words of French. A manageable but very original menu. A kitchen where everything is freshly prepared: skillfully cooked and carefully presented. And a value for money that makes it possible to come more often. Added to this is the magnificent location with a sea view. And now the insider tip: “Baba au Rhum” for dessert.

The service left a lot to be desired. It took half an hour for our order to be taken even though it wasn't busy yet. Other tables that came after us were served first. The starters were beautifully presented on both menus. The main course as well, but unfortunately the fish was too well done in both dishes. The sweet potato puree was almost cold. The disappointment came when we ordered the dessert with caramelized apples... Unfortunately it was over. Although the order was ordered more than two hours in advance, the staff obviously had no idea how many portions were ordered or were in stock. Instead there were canned strawberries with a mountain of cream, a small fresh strawberry and a piece of Merenque. Unfortunately, we cannot fully recommend the restaurant for the reasons mentioned.

Friendly staff but very noisy restaurant! Good food but nothing exceptional and I'm still looking for the shrimp advertised in the dish.

Restaurant nicely decorated with a maritime theme. Sea view. We had the daily menu and enjoyed everything from start to finish! As my daughter said throughout the meal “it’s so good”🤤 With a reasonable price which is very appreciable. We will come back for sure. More 7 months later, I'm still a fan. It's fresh, very well done, in short I love it.

Accueil sympathique et souriant je recommande les moules frites délicieuses et copieuses en revanche le baba au rhum est trop sec et cela malgré la fiole de rhum Bon café également

Après une journée de formation un bon resto ça fait plaisir, la cuisine est bonne,le personnel sympathique on voit que les produits sont frais. Seul petit bémol certains légumes sont arrivés froid dans l'assiette qui elle était brûlante. Je sais que la restauration est un métier difficile mais peut être qu'avec un peu plus d'attention la note aurait été différente.
