Le Verger des Kouros sur Cuers

Aside from a somewhat confusing menu, everything else was perfect. The dishes were divine, both in presentation and taste. The setting is very pleasant, with ample space between tables, allowing for privacy with friends. A must-visit.

We had the pleasure of lunching at Le Verger du Kouros, and the experience was absolutely remarkable. I chose the "Market Fresh" menu with a starter, main course, and dessert, and throughout the meal, one could truly sense the sincerity of the cuisine, prepared with fresh, seasonal ingredients. The starter was very well-balanced, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. The care taken with the ingredients and the preparation was immediately apparent. The main course was simply excellent: perfectly cooked, seasoned just right, and beautifully harmonious on the plate. The cuisine remained elegant while also being generous. The dessert was a wonderful conclusion to the meal, indulgent without being heavy, with a lovely finesse in its textures and flavors. Beyond the food, the setting of Le Verger du Kouros is particularly pleasant, calm, and verdant, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. The service also deserves special mention: professional, attentive, and warm. A truly wonderful place that I wholeheartedly recommend for a quality lunch, where you can feel the passion for cooking and the respect for the ingredients. An experience I will gladly repeat.

We arrived at 12:30 and had to wait 40 minutes before anyone came to ask us our choices. We received no explanation about the €42 "suggested" menu, which was actually a set menu for the starter. We therefore opted for the next menu up. The "perfect egg" was not the one described on the menu and was barely lukewarm; the sea bream with chorizo ​​had no chorizo; and the veal chop was actually a veal medallion. We received a bill that wasn't ours. We left the table at 3:30 PM. Frankly, we were very disappointed and did not enjoy our lunch at all; the wait was unbearable. And we weren't the only ones; some customers even left without ordering. A real shame.

We wanted to try the special Truffle menu at €75. Everything was very good… with a few minor flaws: it could have used a little more truffle (one or two more slices would enhance the flavor). There could have been a bit less chervil in almost all the dishes! The chocolate fondant could have been a bit more moist and not served cold, and it was a little too firm for a fondant! That said, the value for money is still very good, especially since the service is excellent. Perhaps there was a bit too long a wait between courses. The dining room decor could be updated; the paintings are dated, and the cat photos are out of place, as are the bears on the cabinets and the view of New York 😜—but that's a minor detail!

An impeccable menu with unique flavors

We were very pleasantly surprised by our meal as a couple. The service was excellent, the decor lovely, and the dishes exquisite for a reasonable price (€52 set menu including an amuse-bouche, three courses, and dessert). The portions were especially generous. We left feeling satisfied but not stuffed or hungry, and delighted with the dishes, which were adapted for my gluten intolerance. We highly recommend this restaurant!
