Le Vivier du Commerce sur Paris

01/08/2026: Excellent carpaccio as the dish of the day. The slow-cooked lamb was served with overly cumin-spiced mashed potatoes! A little disappointed by the quality of the rosé and white wines. The restrooms could really use a refresh.

28/07/2026: The food was delicious - aromatic and really well thought. The location of the restaurant is also very good, in the heart of famous Butte aux Cailles neighbourhood but in the quieter corner so there is a nice intimate atmosphere. What we were less impressed with was the waiting time, it took around 45 minutes to prepare the dishes and also around half an hour to serve drinks. The restaurant wasn’t empty but not full either. At some point this became frustrating. Another issue was that when the drink of my choice was impossible to prepare the waiter just prepared other one without coming back to me and suggest me the options. It’s ok there is an initiative but it should be communicated with guest first. I read the reviews of this place when waiting long for the dishes and well- I was not impressed that constructive criticism is not taken very well here. Whereas there is space to improve and I think the issues we didn’t like are possible to resolve.
