Christmas visit to the castle in the rain!
We had lunch at the Relais de l'Écureuil for a hot meal, and the downside was the long queue and the limited choice of sides. We were surprised by the very restricted side options (no choice at all): butternut squash and split pea flan 😮💨 That's it! A real shame

Self-service concept with homemade dishes. The portions are quite generous. The food tastes good 😋 And there's a good selection. My only complaint is that I found the drinks a bit pricey. For my afternoon snack, I had a waffle, which was a shame because it was reheated. Especially since we were the only ones there, so there was no wait. The taste suffered a little as a result.
The staff is quite welcoming. It's pleasant. Plus, it was during their dog-friendly days, so that was a real bonus for us ♥️✨🐾🙏🏻

Excellent cuisine, comparable to a semi-gastronomic restaurant, homemade, seasonal, and high-quality. Go without hesitation, with very, very affordable prices. It's a shame you have to go inside the castle to get there, and a shame it's not open in the evening.

We ate a delicious, hearty meal under large umbrellas, with a very good dessert.
I honestly recommend it if you're visiting the castle.
