L'Eden sur Eze

30/08/2024: Incredible view and wonderful place for photos. We ate on the terrace. The service was friendly but lacked sophistication. To access the bathroom we have to enter the restaurant and I was surprised by the state of the carpet and the crowd of people playing around. Clean bathrooms but not the quality for a restaurant like this. We ate Risotto at the suggestion and it was terrible. Hard rice. Acceptable dessert. The starters were good.

27/08/2024: Passing through the village of Èze, a quick trip to the bar/les Remparts was essential. The pastry is just incredible with a special mention for the lemon one. The raspberry and peach one was also delicious. Allow €18 per pastry. It’s okay for the quality and the exceptional location. The decor and the view are splendid. Nothing to say. The staff ? Rather very civilized but very (too) dull and gloomy. And, the grain of sand that brings “shame” to the house: orange juice. A big disappointment for such a chic and prestigious place. For what ? Because at €12 a glass, you can expect fresh orange juice, but especially freshly squeezed. There is none and that is very regrettable. It tasted just like Fruit Paradise. That is to say that either it is pressed a few hours in advance or it is an orange juice pressed by an external service provider. What a disappointment for such a place which prevents me from giving it 5 stars. For the rest, it’s a magical and unique place that I will return to in the hope of drinking a real freshly squeezed orange juice. To the wise -:)
