The staff were warm and welcoming. The small portion size for such a high price (even Parisian prices despite being in the suburbs) is what disappointed me.
The steak and cheese sandwiches and fries are really delicious. I don't know the sandwich shop, but I think they're just as good. My favorite is the steak and cheese sandwich.
I was supposed to eat across the street, but I ended up choosing this restaurant.
The chef seemed unsure of himself and inexperienced, which can happen. He insisted I sit down even though I wanted to watch how they prepared the dishes first.
As I watched, I noticed several things that bothered me:
When you order a mixed platter, they don't give you the full skewers. They remove some of the chicken, veal, or other meats.
I noticed something really problematic: when there's not much cooked meat left on the spit, they add raw meat on top. Then they remove the already cooked part to make it look "fresh."
This is very risky from a health perspective, because the raw meat comes into contact with already cooked meat. This can lead to a risk of food poisoning. And yet, they put the skewer back on as if nothing had happened.
