Les Capucines sur Le Petit-Quevilly

A mixed experience. We hadn't been back for about ten years and had very fond memories of both the food and the service. The cuisine is still as good and refined as ever. We chose the tasting menu with wine served by the glass, which was also very good. It was the service that disappointed us. The manager was very professional, but another waiter was primarily responsible for us. He was pleasant, but he did the bare minimum. No water was offered. We constantly had to ask for more wine. The wine was served very inconsistently, even though there's a clearly marked line on the glass to ensure proper pouring. So, some glasses were full, others only half full... however, the bill charged us the full price. We did mention this for the last glass and were subsequently refilled. I assume that for a restaurant of this caliber, this shouldn't happen and that the service should be impeccable (the same goes for his attire—dirty sneakers were surprising). Was he an extra? In short, the restaurant lives up to its reputation for good food, but it's a shame the service didn't match. We'll still be back, though. Looking forward to it.

We opted for the tasting menu with eight courses. A very good and varied menu. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. We will return to try the Rouen-style duck.

Excellent value for money. Warm welcome, refined decor, consistently delicious dishes, and an exceptional wine cellar at reasonable prices.

Excellent restaurant, impeccable service, pleasant and attentive staff. A menu to suit all tastes without being too extensive. I highly recommend it. I had a wonderful time.

Beautiful table, I recommend it

Back at Les Capucines for a superb end-of-year dinner, which included a new discovery for me: duck à la rouennaise. I had hesitated for a long time about this dish because I'm not a fan of game. I had already tasted the sauce, but never the duck itself... And I must say I slightly regret having waited so long to discover this regional specialty, which is showcased by Chef Thierry, his faithful Elodie (both master duck cooks—and the only female master duck cook in France, by the way), his entire team (including an extraordinary pastry chef), and his very professional front-of-house staff.

Top-notch restaurant, refined cuisine, impeccable service. The only slight drawback is that you can hear everything from the dining room to the kitchen.

Excellent restaurant. Dishes were well prepared and presented. Attentive and friendly service. The Champagne and wines were delicious.

I've been going there with my parents since I was a child and I've never been disappointed once. Perfect.
