Les Fregates sur Veulettes-Sur-Mer

Excellent restaurant at a reasonable price with a superb sea view. I've been going back regularly for years 😁.

We only tried the restaurant and not the hotel, as we were just passing through Veulettes-sur-Mer. This restaurant perfectly met all our expectations, and it was practically flawless (the only slight drawback: the size of the mussels, which were a bit small this year, and therefore very numerous in the pot, turning the meal into a veritable gastronomic marathon!). We opted for the "Mussels with Camembert" (a must in Normandy!), which were exquisite and served in a very generous portion with fries. The service was impeccable and quick; the waiter was attentive and responsive to our every request. The restaurant's real highlight, however, remains the splendid view of the coastline, while enjoying lunch safely sheltered (as it was very windy and even showed signs of a storm) behind the large windows. An address not to be missed if you are visiting the region...

Hotel ideally located on the beach, with renovated, comfortable and charming rooms. Its family management, very kind, with attentions of unusual delicacy, make the stay particularly memorable.

Well-located restaurant with friendly waiters. Our food was very good, however, the kids' burgers were overcooked (dirty griddle or overheated), so the burnt taste really took over. It's a shame because the buns are great, but the kids didn't eat anything!

We dined there on a Wednesday evening in July. We were seated on the terrace facing the sea. The meal was very good and the mussels succulent. The service was professional and friendly. We had a wonderful evening.

The food is okay, but not exceptional. The service is initially very unfriendly if you don't have a reservation. We had to sit all the way in the back, while all the tables remained empty.

We came in July 2025, the food was very good, the staff were very pleasant, and the pistachio tiramisu was to die for, we will be back
