A rather charming little restaurant, in the heart of the sublime Chartreuse of Villeneuve-lès-Avignon. You can access it via the Chartreuse, following a maze of stairs and paved paths that are well organized and very pretty.
Once there, the welcome is warm but things get worse when the order is taken. The tone is dry and impatient and the smile is not there... allow for an hour of waiting before seeing your dishes appear and there again, disappointment... Canteen-style presentation. For my part, I ordered a dish of the day for €19, it was a pistachio terrine accompanied by a spelled salad, unfortunately the salad seasoning had no taste and the terrine although not bad was a little lukewarm, which made her sluggish. My companion in misfortune ordered a rather average entrecôte / fries for the “modest” sum of €24, note that this famous entrecôte came from Namibia!!! (we only realized our carbon footprint when paying the bill).
To be completely transparent and fair play, this place was recommended to us by people who enjoyed a tuna tartare the day before as the dish of the day and who did not have the same person as us serving ( but also waited 1 hour)

We had a great time. The terrace, located next to the cloister of the Chartreuse de Villeneuve les Avignon, hidden out of sight, is absolutely charming. The cuisine of the Hertzog chefs is a delight of refinement. Fresh, seasonal products, delicately cooked and seasoned with precision and accuracy. We had the tuna tartare and its ultra refreshing marinade. The Quinoa Poke Bowl was richly garnished. The heirloom tomato salad with its ultra creamy burrata and the mustard pork with its tender little vegetables, a delight for the taste buds. As for the desserts, they were delicious. I particularly recommend the peach clafoutis and the apricot dessert.

I am the chef in duo with my brother Eric and I would like to respond to the very hurtful opinion of Mrs. Alexandra Nonnenmacher.
Madam, do you realize the harm you are doing by using social networks to spread false statements?!
Know, ma'am, that we all work to serve you and allow you to have a good time... so what can you say? Bad from start to finish, cowardly too because you could have simply exchanged with us to know our values and our products!! You named the brand "metro", a store for catering professionals where even the biggest starred restaurants go there and well we go there too and choose on site the best fresh products from our local producers who are there also present to be able to offer quality products. I will also do a little advertising for our 2 main partners and suppliers who are
“Fruit salads” which mainly deliver high quality fruits and vegetables from our local producers
“Sodial” who deliver fresh butchery to us such as Charolais and Montbéliarde entrecôte, pig from Mont Ventoux and the Cévennes, fresh fish such as FRESH tuna from the Mediterranean (for ours, the very popular dish “the return of the islands”). recipes brought back from a culinary experience in Tahiti), all the groceries, dairy products such as burrata di buffala, artisanal ice creams and sorbets from Ardèche...
In short, I hope you will have understood what products we use!!!!! Madam !!!
Regarding the people who work in the kitchens, I will not let anyone dirty their work like you do so carelessly!!!
They are valuable people who work hard for our customers and you should be ashamed of yourself for looking down on these great people!!!!
Finally, you also mentioned the McDonald's brand, well I salute them and thank them for their work, they too are among the many restaurants present to serve you and bring you pleasure, very good for you Madam!!!

Rather good and well presented dishes (even if the pokebowl was bland and without seasoning unfortunately)
However, the service was catastrophic, cold welcome, an hour before receiving our plates, with a brief word of apology, electric atmosphere between the restaurant team? It's a shame in this magnificent setting (which would be even more so if the tables and dishes were more neat) mixed,
