Les Magnolias sur Nimes

The young man at the reception of our hotel recommended the restaurants of the pretty Place des Esclafidous with its small central fountain. The Magnolias restaurant was the first that we tried the evening of our arrival in Nîmes. The young waitress who welcomed us was efficient and very pleasant. We chose the starter + main course + dessert menu at €39. The dishes served were quite good and well presented but we were surprised to have to pay €1 extra per carafe of filtered water. During our stay in Nîmes, it was the only establishment that we saw practicing this not very commercial measure.

Very nice, small and personal restaurant with delicious food. When the weather is nice, there is an outdoor area protected from the wind and sun. The service was very attentive, super friendly and advised us on our selection. Menu available in French, English and Spanish.

Excellent value for money for this restaurant. Everything is perfect: food, service, decor. We will come back

Nestled in the heart of Place des Esclafidous, this restaurant offers a delicious and generous menu in a cozy and friendly place. Delicious cocktail The risotto ordered was impeccable. Pleasant and attentive service. Little extra that makes you want to come back: a wine list by the glass which allows you to discover new bottles. THANKS

What a gem of a place! The food was of an outstanding quality and the service we experienced of the same quality. The owner/chef (Danielson) came to introduce himself and we had a good talk about food and his enthusiasm radiated. His friendly and helpful manners helped to make a good meal an excellent experience The entrees were tataki tuna. My wife and I agreed that this dish was one of the best tuna dishes ever eaten. (And I have eaten a good number over the years) The mains was the reason for choosing Les Magnolias: confit de canard. Well prepared, sift and juicy inside with a crispy skin with a well prepared and tasty portion if veg I can’t recommend Les Magnolias highly enough. This place will most definitely see us again for more of the same.
