How wonderful it is to take the car in this sweltering heat and head up to the Monts du Lyonnais for some fresh air! We rediscovered a little corner of paradise, a lovely restaurant that dared to stay open in the middle of August. We were warmly welcomed in the shade of the plane trees – a taste of paradise, though the church was watching over us. The food was excellent, as always. We indulged in a beautiful duck breast – here, calories are forgotten, the portions are generous. The burger was delicious – a real meat dish, worth the climb to St. Martin en Haut! The raspberry verrine was a sweet refreshment – ​​this is berry country, so come on up, everyone! The only thing missing was a hammock to relax in after such a delicious lunch, as a nap was calling our name. Thank you for continuing to delight us season after season!

The restaurant is well located, with fairly easy parking and open for lunch. It has a terrace. The menu is good. Two set menus are offered, combining the items available à la carte. The starter with ravioli and marinated salmon was quite good. With a little lemon (I asked for some, and they gave it to me), I liked it even more. I think cooking the ravioli that way is just okay. The starter was alright but a bit bland. The butcher's cut, Charolais beef, on the other hand, was perfect. It was cooked exactly as ordered. The meat melted in my mouth. Delicious. The fries and vegetables were very good, although served lukewarm. Serving them as hot as the meat would have been perfect. A wide selection of desserts. The profiteroles are very good. The portions are generous. The staff is friendly. A good place to eat.
