We ate well once again, however there wasn't much choice in meat and an appetizer platter would be great if it had disappeared from the menu.

First time at this restaurant. Everything was very pleasant. The food was excellent, the service impeccable, and the value for money superb. I highly recommend it.

A very warm welcome, a friendly atmosphere, and dishes of exceptional quality. In my opinion, La Taverne is the best restaurant in Niort. Go without hesitation!

You insisted on getting a review: Food: good, although the selection of grilled beef is very limited – admittedly, there are many tartares and burgers, but there are other restaurants for that. It's probably not your specialty, but a guest might not find it suitable for accompanying others. I ordered sauerkraut as a last resort because I wasn't at all tempted by the wine sauce. It seems to me that in the past, the selection was more extensive. Personally, I don't particularly want to return, even though my guests were satisfied and especially enjoyed the nougat glacé. As for the service, good, although I found it a bit "obsequious." Regarding the atmosphere, unfortunately, the next table was extremely noisy, but that wasn't your fault.
