The hotel is well-maintained and run, the rooms are very clean, and the breakfast buffet is very well-stocked. The restaurant was not disappointing at all – it was very good!
The hotel is simple but very good. The rooms are very clean, the bedding comfortable, and it's quiet. Just one thing to note: in the "chestnut" room, the pile of pigeon droppings on the bathroom windowsill isn't very pleasant. Pigeon spikes would be a welcome addition.
The restaurant, however, is exceptional. You need to have a good appetite, even for the €32 three-course menu, because while there are some delicious culinary surprises, the portions are so large that we all struggled to enjoy and finish our desserts.
Let's be reasonable: all the images and information paint a picture quite different from the current situation. Learning that the sauna is out of service and that this information is on the website—even though we read everything carefully (December 2025)—along with the presence of holes in the walls, scratches, and cigarette burns on the carpet, no longer justifies the price. We will go to the restaurant tomorrow and give our verdict objectively and impartially.
Additional information: We ultimately didn't go to the restaurant because we had doubts about the hygiene conditions when we noticed that the waiter—who was very friendly, actually—had a cold or the flu while serving us.
We did go to the breakfast buffet and were very pleased with the quality of the regional products: superb country bread, very good jams, and fresh brioches. A real treat!
