Les Secrets du Chocolat - The Restaurant sur Geispolsheim

Great for chocolate lovers, not an unlimited selection, but since chocolate is heavy, it's more than enough. I'm taking off one star because the melted chocolates (not from the fountain) were solid and rather empty.

For €20 (2 people), we bought tickets that included a visit and a snack, and we weren't disappointed. The all-you-can-eat buffet isn't huge, but it's sufficient; you get full quickly (drinks are not included). The place is nicely decorated, and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The museum visit is an interactive experience with explanatory videos, tastings, and games. We stayed for an hour, but we'll definitely be back soon.

A pleasant visit, especially with the buffet. Unfortunately, we arrived too late to see the chocolate demonstrations.

We visited the museum with our children and enjoyed the buffet. The buffet was excellent and high-quality, a real treat for food lovers ☺️ The visit was interesting but not interactive enough for young children; too many screens with headphones, which is a shame! It's still a place we recommend.

The museum is expensive for what it is. The positive point: the tiny little gift bags that you can fill yourself in the various available bins.

It is a very small museum, some photos and videos about cacao and chocolat. You can taste some chocolate, but nothing extraordinary. You can buy a buffet experience, and maybe you expect to taste some different types of chocolates or pralines, but in reality it is a fountain of choclate, some ice cream, fruits, some cakes and topings. When you go to a chocolate museum and buy a tasting session, you expect to have and taste chocolate everywhere. I can't say I recommend, doesn't deserve the money. Value for money it is not ok. The staff were ok, and good capucino at the restaurant.

I recommend doing at least the tour and the workshop. If you take the time to watch the videos and read, it takes about an hour plus the workshop. We did the restaurant, tour, and workshop; we arrived at 12:30 PM and left at 3:30 PM. The restaurant was very good. The biggest plus is that they've invested in Ecuador to have their own plantation.
