Just visited L'Escale this lunchtime and so glad we did. We initially drove past having decided that the place didn't look great. The only signs we saw was for it being a Pizza Takeaway. After driving in the wrong direction, We turned back and noticed the restaurant sign. DO NOT BE PUT OFF BY THE EXTERIOR APPEARANCE! Inside it is amazing and we had a lovely 4 course lunch for 2 priced at £29.10 including a half carafe of wine. hence the 5 stars. Amazing value

After several hours on winding roads, we finally reached our destination. A lovely restaurant, generous and excellent dishes, and extremely friendly service. I'll definitely be making a note of it for my next visit.

A very good little restaurant; our group of 23 people, including wheelchair users, were welcomed with good humor and kindness. The food was delicious.
