We followed the reviews and we were not disappointed: a very good Niçoise restaurant in the old town with excellent and generous dishes.

Great food and the Server was very nice

"Socca, sunshine, and the clinking of forks" The atmosphere: It's the quintessential image of Niçoise cuisine. Checkered tablecloths, waiters weaving between tables with the agility of a Formula 1 driver, and a terrace spilling out onto the street. It's noisy, it's lively, it's Nice. People come here for the authenticity... or at least for the idea they have of it. The highlights: The cuisine at "Nissa la Bella": Stuffed vegetables, Niçoise beef stew, homemade gnocchi... It's generous, and the air is fragrant with basil and olive oil. You won't leave hungry, that's for sure. The setting: Eating in the narrow streets of Old Nice has an undeniable charm. You feel like you're on a movie set, especially after your second glass of rosé from Provence. The Institution: There's a certain gleaming, reassuring quality to it. It's an establishment that's been around for ages, a safe bet when you don't want to take risks with "fusion-whatever-it-is" concepts. The "Clash" (Unfiltered Reality): The "High-Speed" Service: The staff is efficient, but sometimes so rushed that you feel like you're just a stop on a race against time. A smile is sometimes optional, especially if you ask for a menu change during the 8:30 pm rush. The Forced Proximity: If you were hoping for a romantic dinner to share your deepest secrets, forget it. You'll probably dine so close to your neighbors that you'll end up tasting their gnocchi and offering your opinions on their family life. The Time Trap: Without a reservation, arm yourself with patience. Standing around on the pavement watching others eat is a local Olympic sport. The "old quarter" price tag: You're paying for the location and the reputation. It's not the cheapest restaurant around, and some would say the value for money gets a little lost in the haze of fame. Verdict: An essential stop to tick the "I've eaten Niçoise" box. It's good, it's traditional, but it's a bit of a culinary extravaganza. Go once for the experience, or avoid it if you hate being crammed in with Parisians on holiday.

We stumbled upon this place while out for a stroll, and the three of us arrived without a reservation—we have absolutely no regrets! The waiter was incredibly friendly, we were all served together in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere! I highly recommend the tripe à la niçoise—it was delicious—as well as the ravioli 😉 Thank you to the team! I highly recommend it 👍

Absolutely wonderful, authentic and delicious place! The food in amazing. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, and the portions are generous. This immediately became my favorite restaurant in Nice!

From the outside, it might look like a touristy place, but we were actually quite pleasantly surprised. Good value for money.
