L'Escalinada sur Nice

Compared to the last few years, it has decreased significantly, but is still recommended.

We actually went for the bouillabaisse on the menu, but it was not available in the summer. The food was tasty and the service was friendly

The place is typical but unfortunately the cuisine does not follow suit. Dynamic and friendly service. An essential lack of authenticity on the plate. Tasteless peppers in oil, hard and tasteless starchy gnocchi. It's a shame to neglect the tradition of recipes because it taints gastronomy as well as the reputation of Nice specialties.

Top notch restaurant! Very helpful staff! The old-fashioned stew is excellent, I recommend 100%

It's a very nice restaurant with an atmosphere. Food was good, but nothing special.

I think this is the best pizza I have tasted in my life (and yet I have eaten it in Italy, all over the world) the gnocchi of the person who accompanied me was excellent. The very kind pizza chef came to say hello and to know if everything was going well! The welcome is warm and the place is very simple but very friendly. It feels like home

For a Nice specialty, I didn't find it great and it was a first for me in this restaurant but the service was very good. I find that the quality compared to the price is not there.

Siamo ritornati per la seconda volta in questo ristorante tipico nei vicoli di nizza con specialità locali. Vi consiglio di prenotare. I piatti sono tutti particolari e di buona qualità.

Vi havde ikke booket bord, så vi måtte vente en lille time, hvor vi fik en drink hos naboen, indtil vores opmærksomme og arbejdsomme tjener (Jean?) vinkede os over til vores bord. L’Escalinada slår sig blandt andet op på ravioli, gnocci og Merda de Can. Sidstnævnte kendte vi ikke ,så det måtte googles (gør det selv, da det lyder vulgært, og derfor ikke må skrives her!. At det også var panerede fåretesti)kler) på menuen gjorde valget nemt! Vi blev på ingen måde skuffet - især ikke da vi kombinerede de to retter. Begge retter var meget velsmagende til den tunge side - lige noget for brødrene Price (som alle danskere kender for ikke at spare på hverken smør eller fløde). Denne perle af en restaurant har også mange andre lækre, lokale retter, men ofte kan det betale sig, at prøve det “skæve” på menukortet.
