L'Escorneil sur Meroux

A very welcoming restaurant with friendly staff. I had the €40 set menu and frankly, it was a delight from start to finish. The dishes were delicious and generously portioned. My only slight complaint was the Snickers bar, which, in my opinion, had too much praline cream and not enough peanuts, but this didn't detract from the overall quality of the service. Thank you for everything, and I hope to return soon. I highly recommend it!

The service was exceptionally professional. The dishes were beautifully presented, generous, and delicious. However, it's a shame that the owner rushed us out at 2:30 pm without considering how we were finishing our meal... (We had a small after-dinner drink.) This clumsy approach left us frustrated, as our meal ended abruptly, and led us to leave quickly. When you spend time in a restaurant, you want to take your time and enjoy a leisurely meal, but here we felt rushed! The dishes were brought out quickly each time, without allowing any time between courses. We regret the manager's lack of courtesy at that moment, and it's a real shame...

First time at this restaurant tonight with friends, and what a wonderful discovery! We received a very warm welcome from beginning to end, with attentive and friendly service. The dishes were excellent, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. And the chocolate fondant… surely the best we've ever had! A true delight. I recommend this restaurant without hesitation; we will gladly return 😊

A feast for the eyes and the palate, despite the slightly pushy service. A wonderful discovery in Méroux! The restaurant's setting is charming and particularly well-maintained. As for the food, there's nothing to criticize: the quality of the ingredients and the attention to presentation are remarkable, especially for a village establishment. You can taste the genuine technical skill and desire to do things well on the plate. It's flavorful and generous. The only slight drawback concerns the service: we felt the staff were a bit too insistent on offering extra charges throughout the meal. This is a shame, as it disrupts the flow of what would otherwise be a perfect experience. In short: an excellent restaurant for its gastronomic quality, but be careful not to push for too much extra food so that the experience remains thoroughly enjoyable.
