Positive point: well-cooked dishes, with good products. Negative point: tables too crowded, too bad there are no tablecloths, the price seems a little exaggerated to me considering the service.

From the outside this restaurant doesn't look like much but inside, the welcome is pleasant, the service is simple but efficient, the mojito is just right.... now, let's move on to the buffets. The fifteen starters are suitable for all tastes: Madame enjoyed the oysters, shrimp, salmon, accras and stuffed mussels. I'm simpler: I've tasted everything else. Snails, cold meats, foie gras in brioche, mixed salads, chorizo ​​croques/mornay sauce/fourme d'Ambert. Then, hot dishes are available. Around ten dishes to choose from. Madame's truffled scallops/leek fondue/Thai rice and my andouillette/old-fashioned mustard sauce/gratin dauphinois (terrible) were perfect. The cheese buffet (7) and the properly cooked bread accompanied by semi-salted butter allow you to have a little break before the dessert and ice cream buffet. 2 crumble recipes, pavlova, hot chocolate pear, lemon meringue tart, cannelés, pineapple au jus, chocolate sweets, small meringues, madeleines, homemade whipped cream... I'm not too sweet but here, I'm I was tempted by 3 desserts. Just to act greedy because I had been full for a while already. We are from Toulouse but we are delighted to have come to Estanquet and we will come back regularly. Tip: Remember to book as it is in high demand

I think that this restaurant in summer has much more charm than in winter because the view must be magnificent with the river right in front but in winter all the curtains are closed so you have the impression of being cloistered because the The place is small. Concerning the service there is better, a waiter who rushes us as soon as we arrive to tell us that at 9 p.m. we must leave the table who spills a half-filled glass on my coat and who leaves without cleaning who catches you when you get up from the table and say to yourself it's time for dessert it's very oppressive I understand that the goal is to have 2 courses and therefore a figure but this way doesn't please everyone and therefore doesn't please me . Indigestion is guaranteed and that’s what happened to my sister that evening. Concerning the cuisine, the starters and desserts are really basic, nothing extra but the dishes are cooked to perfection thanks to the chef and the cooks and finally the atmosphere depends on the people with whom you eat at the restaurant but also the waiters and you also have to take into account the people around so given that the place is small, it's crowded, you have to queue in a small area and you're barely rushed after you've sat down, I would say that there is a better atmosphere. For my part I won't go back but it's worth trying.

Victim of his own success! Fresh products, classic recipes and others a little more surprising. In any case there is choice and varied dishes. For starters, I loved the butternut salad, a mixture of flavors that explodes in the mouth. I also loved the gratinated mussels, the fine cold meats and lots of other good things. The seafood was fresh. For the self-service hot dishes, there is again a choice but a bit déjà vu, very classic (gratins, rice, blanquette, beef bourguignon, cuttlefish à la Sétoise, etc.) and a little too salty for my taste. The cooking of the meat, on the other hand, is mastered to perfection! As for me, I tasted the pork and the beef skewer. Truly the best of the best, tender and melting meat, tasty in the mouth! Choice in the cheese platter, but we stick with the classic. For desserts, the portions of crumble are very small, it's limited just to taste. I was a little disappointed with the pavlova, it’s my favorite cake though. In general it is a mixture of subtle flavors, between the sweetness of whipped cream, the sweetness and crunch of a meringue and the acidity of red fruits! It was a bit linear. The big downside is in terms of service and organization. There are 2 services, one at the opening at 7:30 p.m., and another at 9 p.m. + on the menus the closing time of the buffets is clearly stipulated... 10:00 p.m. (if you arrived at 9:00 p.m. it's a no-brainer). The meal is timed, we announce this to you when you make your reservations, we gently put pressure on you in the dining room to speed up the pace, and on top of that there are people. People arrive at the same times and we rush them. As a result there is a long queue in front of the buffet which makes you waste even more time. Basically you pay €39 per adult but you don't have time to refill what you want and you have to eat from the slingshot in 1h30 tops! The waiter kindly comes to your table to tell you that it is time to move on to the next stage of the meal, this is the first time I have seen this and I have made buffets of it (Narbonne, Toulouse for those who know) he clears the plates without asking if it's ok for you when there is still food on the plates but we got up to go get something else to complete (sauce for example). example). In the end, it was very good but the organization needs to be reviewed and we come away disappointed. So I didn't have time to take photos to tempt you, too bad!
