What a special find. Great food and service. Best chocolate fondant I’ve ever had. Highly recommend.

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance during our Bourgogne a Velo tour. We had lunch there in a very pleasant setting. Excellent.

A very pleasant and relaxing setting. The staff is very welcoming and professional. My taste buds were delighted with the perfect egg with Époisses cheese and the Époisses burger. A wonderful discovery.

After a bike ride along the canal, we stumbled upon L'Étape des Gourmets around lunchtime. A warm welcome, a lovely table in the shade, and a magnificent meal (with a good wine list) in a peaceful haven with a small pétanque court. I will definitely return when I'm in the Châtel-Censoir area!

If you're looking for perfection in every aspect, this is the place to go. Despite the heat and the fact that we were a group of 40, the food, the service, the atmosphere—everything was top-notch, with a smile to boot. We'll definitely be back.

A wonderful culinary experience; the egg with Époisses cheese was perfect, as was the sausage and chips. We dined on the terrace and will try the pétanque court next time.
