L'Express sur Avignon

03/10/2026: A truly excellent discovery! We were extremely pleased with our meal at L’Agape, which is undoubtedly among the best cuisines we have ever tasted. Everything was refined, delicate, and perfectly conceived. The flavor combinations were sophisticated without being overpowering, the cooking techniques and pairings were masterful, and the presentation was as elegant as it was beautiful. The service was also very pleasant, attentive, and warm. We are already looking forward to returning to discover the seasonal dishes! If we had to point out one small area for improvement, it would be the portion sizes. The portions are quite small. This works very well with the 7-course menu, but with the 3-course menu, we were unfortunately left wanting more. And that's almost a shame, because when the food is this good, you wish you could savor it a little longer! A truly wonderful restaurant that we wholeheartedly recommend!

02/10/2026: In the jungle of French restaurants, L'Agape in Avignon's old town is a shining star! We had the 5-course tasting menu and savored every single course! The amuse-bouche was impressive, featuring grapefruit sauce and trout! Each subsequent course was in perfect harmony between the freshness of the ingredients and the flavor pairing: the sauce with the egg, the black garlic cream with the fish, the vanilla emulsion with the baba… but the winner of the menu was the pigeon: with foie gras and Jerusalem artichoke, meltingly tender yet crispy… The service, the processes, the seamless handover during service, the friendly demeanor, and especially the pauses between courses were impeccable! The location is superb. Dining here is a true delight and a pleasure!
