L'Italie la Bas sur Avignon

Expertly prepared and often successfully reinvented specialties. An intimate atmosphere, a far cry from the typical "train station" feel. Relaxed yet attentive service. Worth checking out with the summer terrace.

We've visited several times and have always been satisfied with the food and service... however, on May 15th, despite a reservation, we waited a long time before being shown to our table... then, despite the presence of a rather useless young woman, there was a long wait for our aperitif, followed by a rushed (and excellent) lunch that didn't allow us to enjoy the good wine selection... what a shame!

An exceptional meal, bursting with flavor and finesse, featuring high-quality, seasonal ingredients, remarkable presentation, a very warm and professional welcome, and impeccable service. The chef, remarkably modest and passionate about her craft, truly deserves a Michelin star. A true artist! Highly recommended.

New location, new menu, but still exceptional quality! A more limited selection, but an extraordinary level of attention to detail in the pairing of dishes and the overall presentation. The wine list is also noteworthy, with some very high prices (nearly €1,000 a bottle) for a clientele that is, shall we say, discerning! But rest assured, there are some excellent wines for those on a tighter budget. It's just a shame they no longer have a dedicated vegetarian menu, perhaps due to a lack of demand. Nevertheless, it's still possible to order meat-free options. Special mention for the cheese selection and the tiramisu! A must-try in Avignon.

Colorful dishes, inventive cuisine that puts a fresh spin on classic Italian dishes, and above all, the delicious flavors that delight us. As you can tell, we were completely won over by Italie là-bas, which we discovered over lunch. Without a doubt, one of the best restaurants in Avignon.

I highly recommend this place; everything is perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves; everything was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, even down to the bread they baked themselves. It was a delight.

What a joy to find "Italie Là-bas" in a new location!! We ate very well but nothing new for us as all our meals at Italie Là-bas for the past 10 years have always been excellent.
