L'Or Noir sur Aubenas

A great little restaurant I stumbled upon. The daily special (chicken with prunes and pasta) was really good and a generous portion. The atmosphere is calm, a bit dim, perfect for a relaxed, unpretentious meal. A great place for an authentic meal. I tried a coffee after my meal and discovered they roast their own beans. I left with 500g of freshly ground coffee, specially for my home coffee machine. Excellent. I highly recommend it.

The waitress was about as friendly as a prison guard. Luckily, the coffee was good and the atmosphere was pleasant.

We have been coming to this cafe for a very long time and we have never been disappointed

Coca-Cola/steak and fries/coffee for €20.50 Generous portion. Excellent service, very pleasant staff, friendly and welcoming atmosphere (rustic decor, but it's so charming, a welcome change from modern cafes/restaurants; here you feel right at home). The meal was well prepared, the steak (ordered rare) was perfectly cooked, the Roquefort sauce was absolutely divine, and the coffee was extremely good (lots of flavor, finally a place where you can enjoy a proper coffee for true coffee lovers). A pleasant discovery 😊
