My wife and I had a brilliant dinner at Eric Bichon's Orée des Bois, very reasonably priced for the quality. The service was friendly and efficient and each succeeding course was a revelation. We have visited this restaurant a few times over the years and it just keeps getting better. Hard to choose a favourite dish but the beef fillet Rossini deserves special mention - butter-soft beef cooked to perfection, served on top of a roesti and topped with a slice of fois gras, surrounded by a voluptuous reduced sauce.
Chef Eric and his wife both speak excellent English.

Restaurant was a lovely expierience. Great food fantastic appearance matched by the taste. Great service and a good atmosphere. I would recommend both for couples and for families. We did not stay at the hotel but would not hesitate to do so based on the restaurant
I just realized that I had only given one star when I wanted to give 5 everywhere, especially on the catering because we were there for lunch. Please accept my apologies, we will definitely return
1st in this hotel pleasantly surprised, good welcome, very clean establishment, good breakfast, quiet location and close to Saumur we could not have time to discover the restaurant, we will come back and recommend this establishment, very good value for money.
