L'Union sur Nice

Excellent value for money, delicious and generous portions served in a lovely indoor and outdoor dining area. The staff is friendly and helpful, and dogs are welcome (they brought us a bowl of water as soon as we arrived). I've been a loyal customer for over 10 years, dining here 5 or 6 times a year. I highly recommend it!

Always satisfied with our meals, especially the homemade beef stew, which is delicious and generous. The staff is friendly and attentive, although we were a little surprised by the less-than-friendly welcome from the new recruit… let's hope he'll live up to the rest of the team, because we won't be changing our little Monday ritual.

We booked a meal for 20 people for a family celebration and we weren't disappointed. The service was perfect, efficient, and friendly. The menu was excellent and truly generous, judging by the doggy bags we took home. And above all, the price was very affordable compared to other establishments I had quoted from. In short, whether it's for a meal with friends or a banquet, I highly recommend Brasserie de l'Union!

Overall a very good place, BUT the pizzas are only good 1 out of 2 times, depending on the assigned pizza chef... What a shame.

L'Union is the ultimate anti-tourist trap. Here, you won't find "fusion food" with chia seeds. You'll find hearty dishes served in an atmosphere reminiscent of Marcel Pagnol's Nice and passionate discussions about OGC Nice. The Pros: "Nissa la Bella" Cuisine: If you want to know what a real Provençal daube is or homemade ravioli that will make you forget your ex, this is the place. The portions are generous, almost as if your Niçoise grandmother were in the kitchen and thought you'd "lost a little weight." Value for Money: Unbeatable. It's truly homemade at prices that are easy on the wallet. It's the kind of place where you wonder how they manage to produce such delicious dishes for the price of a kale salad downtown. Authenticity: The decor remains the same, as do the regulars. It's a place for living and sharing, where the Niçoise accent sings louder than the radio. The Downsides: The "Food Coma": Leaving L'Union and going back to work is a form of medieval torture. After the zucchini blossom fritters and the daube, your only goal for the afternoon will be to find a couch for the next three hours. Parking (Mission Impossible): Boulevard de Cessole and its surroundings are a test of your nerves. Finding a legal parking spot is a miracle. Most customers end up parking in parallel dimensions or three blocks away. Mandatory Reservations: The secret's out. If you show up unprepared at 12:30 on a weekday, you risk watching everyone else's plates from the sidewalk with profound sadness. Verdict: An institution. People come for the quality, they come back for the atmosphere. It's noisy, it's lively, it's greasy (just the right amount), and above all, it's incredibly good. A word of advice: cancel all your afternoon appointments before going.

A great place with a nice outside terrace with heaters to keep you warm. Food is really tasty.
