After our lunch experience, we came for dinner. The place is understated and elegant, the welcome warm. Lovely cuisine with perfectly balanced flavors, and for dessert, a surprising eggplant and lemon dish. We recommend it.

I recently enjoyed a lunch for two, and it was a delight both for the food throughout the meal and for the relaxing atmosphere of the establishment. The owner who looked after us was absolutely charming, discreet, efficient, and attentive to our satisfaction. This experience was a wonderful discovery that delighted the taste buds. I will definitely be back.

For me, this is the best French cuisine I've ever eaten. From the very first bite, the Chef made me understand why French cuisine is considered the best in the world. Chef Philippe Gauffre is the Mozart of French cuisine. Truly a superb experience. How lucky I am to have such a Chef so close to home. Arsène

23/09/2026: During our two-week stay in Bordeaux, we discovered Bistrot des Anges. As a result, we went back every day for the entire two weeks, a total of eight times! The welcome is incredibly friendly, a smile is guaranteed, and the service is efficient yet allows you plenty of time to savor the simply divine cuisine at an affordable price (€24 for a main course, starter, and dessert). Each dish is presented with vibrant colors, a true work of art, and the flavors are a delight for the taste buds. The three starters, three of the five main courses, and the three desserts change daily. Everything was excellent. A huge thank you to their chef(s) for these moments of culinary bliss. Don't hesitate to make a reservation; the restaurant was packed every day.
05/09/2026: Excellent meal today with the Saturday lunch menu: succulent tournedos and a divine dessert. A well-known and highly recommended spot.

18/09/2026: Chicken in tarragon sauce with a few fries. I'm not giving it 5 stars because of the small portion of fries on the plate. However, we were given more fries free of charge after asking for them!
17/09/2026: Excellent food! The ribeye steak was tender and flavorful, cooked to perfection. The sharing platters were superb, especially the squid ink croquettes (I can't recall the exact name), and the homemade profiterole for dessert with its warm chocolate sauce was a true delight. A fantastic place to eat, with high-quality ingredients, excellent cuisine, and excellent value for money. The service and the owner were very professional and welcoming. Well done, and thank you for a wonderful evening. I highly recommend this restaurant without hesitation for a truly delicious meal.
