Amazing atmosphere! Good food, nice staff and amazing view

A must-try in Gigondas! We've eaten here twice and have never been disappointed. The setting is beautiful, with a shaded terrace and a lovely view of the valley. The dishes are carefully prepared and very flavorful, made with fresh, local ingredients. A real passion for cooking shines through in every bite! We'll definitely be back for a third time.

We ate here last weekend with 2 vegetarians and 3 carnivores. After reading reviews—and having received this as a recommendation for vegetarians—we had quite high expectations. The garden looked very nice for dining, and after seeing the menu online, we made a reservation. The first disappointment was that we had to sit inside due to a thunderstorm. There was no thunder or rain all evening, and people were simply eating outside in the village square. But anyway, we understand that you play it safe. When we received the menu, it was suddenly very different from what was listed online, and there was no longer a vegetarian option; just 1 starter and 1 main course for vegetarians, that was it. What a shame! In the end, the vegetarian dishes were actually delicious, we have to say. The ribeye was disappointing; it was quite tough, and the potato slices from the oven were also bordering on burnt. Fortunately, that layer was easy to remove. Even though we were seated inside, we were still bothered by the smokers outside; the cigarette smoke simply blows inside, which is really unpleasant when one person already has lung metastases. Furthermore, there were quite a lot of flies trying to share the ribeye, which was not pleasant. The waitress was also wearing quite a pungent perfume (or was it DEET?), which wafted past every time she passed by. Additionally, we find it really pricey for what you get. The service is friendly. In short, for us it was not a success; it is not our kind of restaurant.

We loved our dinner at Marceau's. The meal was excellent, and the staff were friendly and efficient. The best part! A beautiful terrace and a magnificent sunset.

A huge thank you to the entire team at Le Marceau for making our engagement so wonderful! From the very beginning of the planning, they perfectly understood our desire for a Provençal menu to introduce the region's specialties to my future wife's Spanish family. On the big day, everything was perfect: high-quality food and wines, impeccable service, and a friendly, attentive, and very flexible team. A special mention goes to the staff who even took the initiative to translate some explanations into Spanish so everyone felt comfortable. Thank you again for your professionalism and kindness. We wholeheartedly recommend Le Marceau, whether for a meal or an event!

We trusted the positive reviews and made a reservation for eight. The ambiance on the terrace is beautiful, but the food didn't live up to expectations. The appetizers (stuffed zucchini blossoms, tomatoes with burrata, beef tartare) were very attractively presented and tasty, albeit very subtly seasoned. Unfortunately, the main courses were disappointing. The tuna was overcooked and dry, the risotto had the consistency of rice pudding, and the tough entrecôte, despite its Instagram-worthy presentation, was unconvincing. The service was also infrequent and forgot to order additional drinks. What a waste of an evening. Tip: definitely bring mosquito repellent in the summer!

We were 8 people and had a lovely meal here. The food was fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully prepared. The staff were so welcoming and gave us excellent wine recommendations that paired perfectly with our meal. Great service, delicious food, and a wonderful atmosphere. We’d happily come back!
