A lovely restaurant: impeccable service, a very classic yet elegant setting, and refined Mediterranean-inspired cuisine. The presentation of the dishes is very well done. We were disappointed by the lack of flavor in the appetizers (the tomato and cucumber combination is not easy to elevate) and the rather ordinary first dessert. On the other hand, the veal and the strawberry dessert were truly delightful. The cocktails were very good, but the wines were inconsistent (a glass of wine was €20 and a cocktail €24). The bill came to €400 for two people for dinner.

We are absolutely in love with Mavrommatis Le Restaurant! 🫶
First of all, the location is fantastic, in a charming, quiet, and almost entirely pedestrianized (but accessible by car) area of the 5th arrondissement, just steps from Rue Mouffetard.
The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, welcoming, and stylish, with a clean, minimalist aesthetic and an elegant, understated Swiss touch. The tableware is in the same style and of very high quality.
The welcome and service are excellent: all the staff are incredibly welcoming, friendly, attentive, and very flexible in adapting menus to guests' needs or preferences, making you feel comfortable and at home at every moment. Formal and respectful, yet warm and almost familiar at times! Thank you Dimitri, Axel, Rémi, Mehdi, Natalia, and everyone else who does their work with professionalism and heart (whether in the dining room or behind the scenes) 🙏
One particular point, which applies to both the staff and the food, is the exceptional generosity: in this restaurant, you feel like you're not "counting" anything. The portions are extremely generous (not the stingy, gourmet kind where you're left wanting more), there are plenty of surprises and opportunities to savor the experience, and you're never pressured to order more. It's truly delightful and all too rare in establishments of this caliber.
But you don't come to a gourmet restaurant just for the human experience; you also come to eat ☺️
And we must say that we were completely won over by the food: the dishes are already magnificent, true works of art that you have to have the courage to destroy to better appreciate them :-) but it's in the mouth that they reveal all their flavors. Subtle, original combinations, without being complex, pretentious, or inaccessible. The food is made with high-quality ingredients, and the dishes achieve a curious paradox: they are haute cuisine while retaining a sense of simplicity and authenticity.
The Signature Menu, our favorite, is incredibly generous: small amuse-bouches, one pre-starter, three starters, two main courses, two desserts, and petit fours...
Not to mention the abundance of bread in all its forms, which you can dip at will in their exceptional olive oil (sold in their shop).
We aren't wine connoisseurs, but we greatly appreciate the wines we discover there: they are predominantly Greek and quite different from those we usually find in fine-dining restaurants in France.
Finally, we found the bill extremely reasonable considering the restaurant's standard and the overall experience, which only reinforced the feeling of not being a "customer to be charged," but rather a "guest to be delighted."
A huge thank you to everyone 🙏
P.S.: Our thoughts are with Chef Andreas and his loved ones 🕊️, as well as his entire team who continue to brilliantly keep his cuisine alive despite his sudden passing 😞
