True to the brand's image, the McDonald's on the Mont-de-Marsan ring road is exactly as expected. Service is quick when there's little traffic; during rush hour, speed inevitably slows down, but that's completely understandable and not unreasonable. The food is typical of McDonald's.
Sometimes they forget to order sauces, especially at the drive-thru.
One complaint about the "you have to buy the sauces now" rule. Given the price increases over the last decade, I find this new policy inappropriate coming from the chain.
Excellent service. No wait despite a busy Wednesday with families. The team was fantastic: friendly, smiling, helpful, and responsive. There were outdoor games for children, and a surprise treat was offered in addition to the Happy Meal (sweets, balloons).
I highly recommend it.
We popped in for a coffee (cappuccino) before driving onwards to Spain, expensive horrible cappuccino and no smile, maybe pay the staff a little more to lift the corners of their lips, it does make a difference to us customers, and sure that the staff don't have a lot to smile about.
