12/07/2026: Underwhelming Pastries for the Price We bought three pastries for €20 from this pâtisserie and came away underwhelmed. * Tarte Framboise: Essentially a butter cookie topped with raspberries and whipped cream, with little complexity considering the price. * Rectangular hazelnut/chocolate cake: It had a hazelnut (noisette) cream, a crunchy praliné/feuilletine base, and a thin layer of chocolate cake. Unfortunately, neither of us enjoyed it. None of the individual components stood out, nor did the flavors come together to create an exceptional dessert. * Chocolate Mousse Entremets: Beautiful presentation, but once cut open it released a very tart, runny passion fruit cream that completely overwhelmed the chocolate. Overall, the pastries looked far more impressive than they tasted. For the price, we expected much more refinement and flavor.
