Mercure Nice Promenade des Anglais Restaurant sur Nice

So what has become of the Hôtel Mercure brand? What’s more, we thought we would find a high-level Mercure hotel at this address (Promenade des Anglais). Everything seems old, from another era! This feeling is present from the layout of the reception. The room is also not up to standard: painting, decoration, bathroom, bedding; we have to start all over again. You should not expect the standard of other Mercury! I'll temper my comment a little. The next morning, expressing my disappointment at reception, I was listened to by a very pleasant and very professional person. We were able to change rooms and the new one corresponds a little better to Mercure standards. THANKS !

It's a bit old for the price. Reception does not have the charm that we are used to from All Accor. The service in the breakfast room is very nice and competent.

The location is great, allowing for several walks and going to the beach on foot.

Amazing location. Rooms a bit far from elevator. But beside this all is good.

Great location to all..some staff very unfriendly on desk..others breakfast staff lovely.rooms are spacious beds very comfy 1st room we had was terrible our jet 2 advisor got us moved...to better room. Breakfast is very good good selection..modern dining area.no bar or dining available other then breakfast.

We booked a room with a sea view and were quite happy. Of course, if you looked closely, some places in the room were broken, not cleaned properly or there was some mold on the wall. However, the location of the hotel was extremely good, we walked almost everywhere.

Voices from the hallway are quite loud. ・There is no changing room. ・The water area is a little dirty. There is mold in the shower booth. ・Equipment is not properly taken care of. There is damage to the walls and peeling gaskets from the shower booth. ・The dryer soon becomes unusable. When I asked the receptionist over the phone, I was told that when the hair dryer reaches a certain temperature, it will be forced to shut down until the temperature drops. It becomes unusable after about 8 seconds of use, and takes several minutes to recover, so it does not function at all.

I was very disappointed to stay in such an outdated and impractical hotel. Being a regular at the Accor chain, I found the value for money really unbalanced. breakfast at 20€ correct but nothing more 2 small, shaky elevators then an endless series of corridors view of a dark patio under construction room with stained 70s plaster old carpet also stained All for more than €300 a night, who are we kidding?

The best thing about this hotel is its location. Great view from a front balcony facing the sea. Rooms are modernised and beds comfortable. There is a great top bar with a fantastic view of the bay. The cocktails are pricey and the fish restaurant although nice, you will pay above the regular Nice price. If you are vegetarian, stay away. The reception staff's friendliness depends on the person, some of them are a little bit stiff. The shower was large and the complementary products are from Locitan which is a plus. The housekeeping staff were lovely. It can be noisy, so earplugs were provided.
