Mont liban sur Marseille

ATIÉ Fares, a Var native, in love with Marseille, its "Bonne Mère" (Notre-Dame de la Garde basilica), the Abbey of Saint-Victor, and the "Mont Liban" (Mount Lebanon) on Rue Sainte. If Mr. Jean MM prefers to flee, good for him, and the farther away the better. "Flee this place for your health"—what is he talking about? He hasn't even eaten there. On the other hand, my family, my friends, and I have been coming to "Mont Liban" regularly for the past nine years, ever since my daughter arrived in Marseille for her university studies. We come for the visual pleasure, the authenticity and excellence of its cuisine, to savor its dishes, to enjoy its hospitality, and to treat our friends from the Var region who were waiting for our return with the specialties made in this typical little kiosk. NO ONE HAS EVER GOT SICK. I can accept that the premises are somewhat outdated, but there's a right way to do it. To unfairly attack the quality and freshness of the food without even tasting it, just to make oneself feel important, and to crucify a business and people who put their heart and soul into their work under the pretext of knowing people in the hygiene department is disproportionate, cowardly, and shameful. “Mont Liban,” I hope for a quick reopening, for the pleasure of our eyes, the delight of our taste buds, and the benefits for our health. See you very soon. I miss your food and your warm welcome.

Very tasty homemade wraps with tzatziki, taboule and hummus. Great option for a bite on a go or to dine on their terrace.

Yum! What a great spot. The food is so fresh and authentic. The owners were very kind and accommodating. It was mostly locals stopping by, which is always a good sign. Very affordable! They have some outdoor seating.

Everything is unbelievable good!!

We are not that familiar with Lebanese cuisine, but decided to step out of our comfort zone and give this a shot. I’m not entirely sure what we got, but I think we got falafel? Big tasty rolls of goodness with chicken, fries, lettuce, tomato, and some kind of sauce. They were filling, tasty, and very cost effective!! We appreciate the experience!
