Sunrise from Mont Mézenc On the advice of our hosts, we wanted to see this superb painting. Leaving Puy en Velay around 5:15 a.m., allow a 45-minute drive to arrive at the parking lot which is located at the start of the path for this short hike. The walk lasts about 45 minutes, well dressed, equipped with a headlamp, good shoes and a thermos of hot chocolate for the reward, we therefore advanced towards the summit of Mt. Once at the top, let the natural magic happen. The view is 360°, the moon in a dark sky on one side, the color of a rising sun on the other. This little walk is definitely worth it! After this experience, you can have lunch at Les Estables. We opted for various treats bought in the small bakery in the center, and a hot drink at the bar/restaurant near the tourist office. After a short rest period, we completed this visit with a visit to the summer sleds, which are a 10-minute walk away. (Opening at 10:30 a.m.) A busy morning that benefited the whole family! The smiles were there. Good discovery!

A nice development has been made to access the summit of Mezenc. It's still a bit physical, but many very young children do it, so go ahead and enjoy this exceptional 360-degree view of the Mont d'Auvergne!

A magnificent walk of about half an hour on a path that has just been developed. A view at the top will take your breath away, you could see Mont Blanc, Mont Gerbier de Jonc and much more. Parking at your disposal downstairs. ✅

Beautiful walk through the forest which leads to a path gradually taking you to the top of Mont Mezenc (228m difference in altitude over approximately 2.5km). 3 viewpoints are at the top and join via a path. Done quietly with two children aged 8 and 5 so accessible! Free parking downstairs.

The highest peak in Ardèche. The climb is done slowly through a very shaded route. Allow between 1.5 and 2 hours for the round trip.

A magical place, a breathtaking view, a perfect path (thanks to everyone who worked there), pristine nature and not too many people, the dream!

Pretty path, very passable by everyone, leading to a panoramic view of the region. Binoculars are handy for spotting the small details of these magnificent landscapes.

Magnificent place for a picnic and sunset ☀️. The climb is not very long, the path is well laid out but it warms up your thighs!!

Superb walk to reach the summit. You are between the department of Haute Loire and the department of Ardèche. Climb on a path developed and currently being restored. Allow about an hour for the climb. Superb panorama at the summit. 360 degree view
