O City'ven sur Civray

Stopped for a white wine (or 2) and a coffee after a dental appointment, a lovely setting with seating both inside and out. Service and pricing both excellent... we will come again and will eat next time as the restaurant looks very inviting.

We had Valentine's Day dinner last night. The meal was delicious and plentiful. The plates were beautifully presented, and there was little waiting between courses. The atmosphere was intimate, as couples were seated upstairs and groups downstairs—a thoughtful touch. The new management is living up to the previous owners' standards. We had a wonderful time.

Passing through, I chose this restaurant and wasn't disappointed at all; everything was perfect. They gave excellent advice and the cuisine, while unpretentious, met all my expectations and delighted me, especially considering the quality of the ingredients. I'll definitely be back next time.

Mixed review for a restaurant that normally is excellent. Starting with the plastic carafes on tables, no bread with the meal. Fixed menu but with price supplements on at least 3 items. Why ? Don't put them on the menu then. The supplements increased our already large bill enormously . Nice friendly servers who were amenable to altering the dishes for vegetarians. But the service felt rushed. Our celebration evening meal of 3 courses was over in just over an hour! Entrée was great, main meal good, dessert cafe gourmand looked like the cakes were all supermarket bought and not worth the 8 euros. Whole evening for 4 cost 190 euros, and we didn't even have wine with the meal, only apéros. Unfortunately not rushing back.

A huge thank you for today's meal for my sister's birthday. We came from Limoges, Poitiers, and Angoulême. You are fantastic, and I highly recommend your restaurant. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the dishes are extraordinary, incredibly flavorful, and of remarkable quality and finesse. So, a big thank you to your entire team.
