Oncle Scott's sur Querqueville

We ate there on Saturday, May 9th, and frankly, we had a great time ☺️. Quick service, little wait despite it being quite busy, and a fantastic waiter 👍.

An appetizer with overcooked fried onions and a plate of Norman fondue, but with a tiny piece of salt pork, enormous mushroom halves, and three small pieces of cold chicken. This is absolutely nothing like what I'm used to. The price has gone up while the quantity and quality have dropped, which is a shame.

Always a warm welcome since I started going there. A great story with the owner who bought the restaurant, a fantastic team, a great atmosphere, and the food is excellent. In short, go without hesitation! 👍😉

Arriving without a reservation, I was greeted with a smile and seated immediately, which immediately signaled attentive and responsive service throughout the meal. As for the menu, the Beef quesadillas starter was undeniably delicious. For the main course, the pork ribs: the dish served was visually different from what was described, and the lack of a carving knife for such a dense cut made eating it a little less comfortable. That said, the flavor was excellent and more than made up for it. The meal concluded with a generous and varied selection of gourmet coffees, which was generally very successful. The only slight disappointment was a crème brûlée that seemed a bit underwhelming, lacking the overall quality of the other dishes. In short: a very good experience, delicious food, and impeccable service. A few adjustments to the visual consistency of the dishes and it will be perfect. I recommend it and will return.

The welcome was friendly, but there was a real lack of organization. Two little girls were there, which didn't bother me too much, but... Regarding hygiene, I noticed some things that weren't great. The carafes were picked up from the tables, not cleaned, and they topped them up with the water that was still in them. It wasn't all bad, though; the waiter was very friendly and the meal was good.

The waitresses and waiters were excellent.

Great restaurant, excellent service, and the meal was superb. I had a piece of beef, the meat was cooked perfectly, and the Camembert sauce was delicious. I wasn't here long, but I'll definitely be back before I leave. I also asked for recommendations on things to do in the area, and they gave me great advice. I spoke with several different servers, and they were all fantastic. I was dining alone, so I took the opportunity to read about the history of this franchise, and it's quite interesting. Keep up the good work!

A superb place discovered during a trip to Cherbourg. The setting is beautiful, the food and presentation were excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly. All the best to you.
