Ottoman sur Bordeaux

The decor immerses you in an oriental atmosphere, a blend of stone and tent. A collection of unusual and exotic objects adorns the walls, along with the furniture, fabrics, and music, all of which complete the Ottoman experience. The service is very pleasant. The dishes are typical and generous, mostly meant for sharing, and the wines are Turkish. The owner even serenaded us with a song, accompanying himself on the saz, an oriental stringed instrument.

We found this restaurant quite by chance and are so glad we did. We were transported to the Ottoman world and felt like we'd traveled for an entire evening. A pleasant and attentive waitress, a chef who was meticulous in preparing simply delicious dishes, and a genuine owner who shared his music and traditional songs with us. Thank you again for this exceptional and heartwarming experience.

It was on a friend's recommendation that we ventured into this unique restaurant, and we weren't disappointed! The distinctive and personal decor immediately sets the mood, and the welcome is as vibrant as the dishes we were served. The food lives up to expectations (special mention for the eggplant caviar and the hummus), but the restaurant's true strength undoubtedly lies in the kindness and friendliness of the staff and the owner. If you're in a hurry, this might not be the place for you, but if you have the time, let the owner share some stories from his homeland and invite you to dream. With a bit of luck, after finishing grilling the fish and kebabs right before your eyes, he'll take down the saz (a traditional instrument) hanging on the wall and sing for you. Tonight, the room was packed, and half the tables were clearly occupied by regulars whom our host addressed by their first names. And that's not even mentioning the numerous passersby who waved to him from the street through the windows that isolated us from the rest of the world for a few hours. Great atmosphere! Very unique! The food is good! A bit pricey, but good! Quick service (well, there were only two tables in the restaurant). The waiter even played his instrument for us! Like a little escape during the meal!

Special words of gratitude to the owner of the restaurant, who knows how to greet and feed deliciously, and also treat! Hussein constantly maintains contact with visitors, the service is polite and respectful. The food is delicious, but the kebab was a little spicy for us. The interior - you seem to be in Turkey, all the little things, details immerse you in the oriental atmosphere. Pets are allowed. We recommend! Teşekür ederim!
