Ottoman sur Bordeaux

This Sunday, I once again had a wonderful meal and a fantastic time at this Turkish restaurant on Rue des Faussets, where we had already had lunch for my son's 20th birthday a few years ago. The decor sets the mood perfectly, and the dishes are varied. You can choose from several set menus, or order à la carte with a selection of appetizers, main courses, and desserts. The eggplant caviar and hummus are excellent, as are the kebabs and the moussaka. A special mention goes to the owner, who provides attentive and engaging service, even singing us a little Byzantine tune while accompanying himself on the saz (a type of traditional guitar). In short, a truly excellent culinary and personal experience. I'll definitely be back. Highly recommended.

The service is warm, relaxed, and very attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable and adding real value to the evening. The owner is always ready to sing—a real treat! A must-visit in Bordeaux for those who like to venture off the beaten path and experience a truly unique culinary moment.

There are some places you discover by wandering down a small street in Bordeaux. We were immediately immersed in a Turkish atmosphere, complete with music. It's a veritable little living museum, with art hanging from the walls. The decor, the rugs, the tapestries, the musical instruments—these are not to be missed in this wonderful place. The owner welcomed us with a smile and made us feel right at home. Every dish was a delight. The feta salad had a perfect balance of peppers and lettuce. The kefta were absolutely divine. The generous portions of Turkish delight were the perfect ending to this delicious meal. This restaurant provided us with an extremely pleasant experience, and I highly recommend it if you're looking for a change of scenery. The prices are more than reasonable.

An incredible experience! A setting worthy of the Ottoman Empire! Delicious food! I have absolutely nothing to complain about! A warm welcome and a smiling, welcoming, kind, and super funny waiter! We felt right at home! We were made to feel comfortable very quickly. A small, private concert by the waiter. Music to get us in the mood! A fantastic time shared with my friends. Created into wonderful memories! ✨ I recommend it to everyone!

My friends and I stumbled upon this place by chance, drawn in by the decor and our host's attire. The atmosphere was excellent, and the owner and waitresses were incredibly friendly. I ordered hummus as a starter, which was simply delicious! The lamb and orange blossom cake were also very, very good. The only slight drawback was the price: €25 for the evening menu. I recommend coming before 8 pm or at noon to take advantage of the €20 menu. Otherwise, it was flawless!

I went there with friends, and it was one of the best restaurant experiences of my life. The restaurant's decor is fantastic, a real trip to Turkey right here in Bordeaux. We received an extremely warm welcome, and we even got to try some Turkish alcohol. As for the meal, it was quick, plentiful, and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it.
