Pâtisserie Régis sur Paris

I'm not sure why this small Japanese cafe gets such high star ratings. The owners are true Japanese and they were super friendly. They definitely had pretty pastries, as well as shaved ice, and colorful lattes. From the facade, this place looked perfect. We stopped by for some iced lattes. Let me just put it this way. If it wasn't for the friendly server who made us feel better just with her smile, I would've given this a lower rating. Essentially, we tried 3 different "lattes" - hojicha, black seasame, and mango. Just because you mix milk with syrup or related ingredient, it just doesn't become a latte. All the 3 drinks felt "off" and we had to add sugar and stevia just to stem the random flavor. Massive disappointment as we were expecting Japanese perfection towards making pretty, tasty drinks. And they aren't cheap either. Perhaps their pastries are good. But based on what we experienced, again, wouldn't visit again. Also keep in mind that the store is tiny. And they also sell food... So at this point, we are really confused in what the cafe is for and what are they good at.

Summary: I recommend it; a very good place but a bit pricey ✨ Details: Booked for lunch, the €50 meal, containing a quality bento box, a dessert, and an alcoholic drink, is substantial and tasty, but expensive if you don't have a discount (with the discount, the rating drops to 5 stars 🌟 for me!). We had a very good time, the food was excellent, and the waiter was very kind (and did his best to answer our various questions, despite the language barrier! 日本語が話せません。ごめん！) Overall, a good place if you're on a budget, in a very pleasant setting!

During our vacation in Paris last summer, we visited Kawakami on our cousin's recommendation, and it turned out to be a wonderful discovery. We enjoyed not only the pastries and teas, but also the savory dishes, all thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, making it the perfect place for a relaxing break from the city's bustle. Cozy and calm, the perfect place for a sweet treat

A lovely place, the service is impeccable, the pastries are delicious, and the blueberry cheesecake was excellent! It's quite small, but we found a seat easily. Thank you for your hospitality!

I didn't see the remarkable selection of cakes during my visit. The selection was limited to just a few cakes.

The pastries were very good, but there's an extra €1 charge per person to eat in. I only found this on the receipt. It would have been nice to be informed beforehand.
