The staff were incredibly friendly and courteous. It was a pleasure to be served so well in a stressful place like a train station.

Initially, I didn't want to go to Paul's. The average rating of 3.8 left me perplexed. The recent reviews seemed to be improving things. So, I thought, "Let's go for it," I told myself on that early July day. The service. The staff seemed blasé, no greeting. Whose business is it? After a long day at work, but so was I. And their voices were barely audible. I ordered the sandwich, dessert, and drink combo for around €12. The rosette and gherkin sandwich. Well. Extremely dry. I almost choked. Two measly slices of rosette, three tiny gherkins hidden inside. Butter? Nothing on the bread on top, stretched to the max at the bottom. It's highway robbery for the price. The apple tart was acceptable. Lacking sugar, lacking flavor. The drink. Vittel. Nothing to say.

I regularly have breakfast here and it's always a real pleasure. The pastries are delicious and the coffee is excellent. A big thank you to Alimadjou for her warm welcome, kindness, and professionalism. She is always smiling and attentive. I highly recommend it.

Good value for money. The staff are welcoming, and the pastries are made with all-butter butter and are delicious. The hot chocolate is a real treat; it's neither too sweet nor too bitter, perfect to accompany the pastries.

My favorite stop for a coffee at Gare de l'Est, the staff are always friendly and professional, which isn't the case everywhere!

3.30 euros for a pretzel (small, barely salted). That's outrageous!
