17/04/2026: My favorite restaurant in Rouen. Excellent food with impeccable service in a friendly atmosphere.

17/04/2026: Second visit to this restaurant, after an excellent first experience. This time, the experience was much more mixed: reservation at 7:30 pm, arrival at 7:24 pm. The door was wide open, but the owner's welcome was very surprising. She pointed out that we were early and that the restaurant was closed, adding that we could be seated but that she wouldn't be attending to us. After this astonishing exchange, we were finally seated. The meal was very good, and the service provided by the excellent team made the incident all the more regrettable. A simple apology at the time of payment would have been enough to smooth things over, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Going to a restaurant is a holistic experience: the ambiance, the food, but also the welcome. To be received like that, especially in front of your family, whom you've invited, is very disappointing. Judging by the other reviews, I imagine this is an isolated case. Personally, in the future I will favor an establishment that is happy to welcome its customers, even if they arrive 6 minutes before their reservation time.
