We ordered beef, it was rubbery and hard to chew, foie gras was good, mussels were tasty, but a bit salty

The food wasn't bad, although it was a bit pricey. The waitress was lovely, trying to speak to us in Spanish to help. It's a shame we can't go back.

We had shellfish and oysters for our main course. We ordered the Norman-style veal escalope with fries and thoroughly enjoyed it. Don't hesitate to stop by; it's well worth the detour. Enjoy your meal!

The mussels and oysters were delicious, as was the beef stew. I didn't like the service or the waiters' interactions. Speaking French in a touristy place, especially when the waitress initially spoke fluent English, felt disrespectful. "Hey, we left a hundred here." The waiters don't care whether you come back, because it's always full. So enjoy the delicious food.

The food was tasty, but for the price, the portions were very small for a "main course". The staff were friendly, but the service was quite slow.

It's interesting to read the reviews because it raises some simple questions like, "What makes a good French fry?" If I understand correctly, everyone expects a long, light yellow, crispy stick, not too greasy, like McDonald's. But what makes the fries at La Salamandre incredible (and will keep me coming back) is that they're small, a bit bumpy, very crispy, and soft all at the same time. Real grandma's fries, a bit like the ones (for those who know them) from La Calle in Blainville-sur-Mer. As for the rest, we didn't have to wait; it was raining, but no one kicked us out. The place was full, and we were served quickly. It made you wonder if we were even in the same restaurant…

I ordered 2 hamburgers and fries to take away, I'm not giving it 5 stars because the fries weren't good.
