30/06/2026: Our experience in this boulangerie that I was expecting to be brief turned out to be a delightful 45min. The quality of the artisanal products they produce is beyond what we can usually find in France which is already a bar set quite high. They also have delicious specialties coming from a few eastern Europe family recipes. I dont recall the names but my taste buds will undoubtly remember this for quite some time. The baker is the mom of the family and she is also a talented artist painter, she has a few of her beautiful pieces displayed on the walls. A young woman, her daughter, is helping her mom with marketing, social media, and clients services. She is a smart, kind and passionate woman that was successful in getting my attention. So much so that I am taking the time to write here one of my very rare reviews. I could not recommend enough to go spend sometime in their boulangerie or at least spare a couple minutes to go grab a croissant, chocolatine etc... and let your taste buds enjoy a few minutes of deliciousnesssss 😋

06/06/2026: L'Ecailler Gourmet in Narbonne is fantastic! Everything is excellent, the products are fresh, even live, like the lobster, although it doesn't show in the photo 😉. The place is warm and welcoming, and the staff is just as friendly, smiling, attentive, and helpful. The dishes are delicious, and I won't even mention the desserts, including the frozen raspberry sabayon, which I discovered. The fish and shellfish are cooked to perfection. 10/06/2026: We had the Cassoulet and we really liked it. The service was fast and very friendly and they served us in Spanish. What I didn't like, first of all the menu du jour, I see that instead of wine + coffee (as it is on the website) it is wine or coffee. It wouldn't matter much, but at 1:00 pm they told us that they no longer have the menu du jour, and we have to take dishes from the menu.

04/05/2026: A wonderful experience. The cassoulet is made in the traditional way and is less fatty than what you might find elsewhere. Enjoyed with a glass of red wine, it was delicious. I highly recommend it.

02/05/2026: We went there to enjoy classic cuisine and we weren't disappointed; everything was good. The semi-cooked foie gras was perfect, and the ravioli with cooked foie gras were delicious. The cassoulet didn't disappoint, though it was more traditional. It's one of the few places in Carcassonne worth the trip. The service was friendly, and they provided excellent wine recommendations.

21/12/2025: A really great way to do a trip back in time

17/11/2025: Medieval cuisine is certainly different from what we're used to eating today. Some dishes might, at first glance, seem a little bland, or at least not the kind of thing that would immediately make our mouths water, because our 21st-century palates are accustomed to tastes that are too sweet, too fatty, or too salty (clearly not the best for our health!). However, the kitchen team rose to this challenge brilliantly: each dish was perfectly seasoned, fragrant, and truly delicious. This made the culinary experience even more successful. The experience is further enhanced by the entertainment offered throughout the meal, as well as by the choice of costumes at the beginning, which immediately immerses us in the medieval atmosphere. We also greatly appreciated the intimate atmosphere of the restaurant, with only one seating at lunchtime: no constant coming and going, allowing us to fully enjoy the moment. A wonderful discovery that we highly recommend! Until next time!

25/05/2026: A real treat! The ice cream selection is very varied and the portions are quite generous (unlike some other ice cream shops). But above all, the staff is extremely friendly. Every time we go, we're always well served with a big smile, even when it's busy. 😊 Well done! I recommend this place 200%!
