Restaurant Auberge Batby sur Soustons

I was just passing through. I didn't stay overnight or have a meal there, just a coffee. The welcome was very warm, and the terrace and restaurant are right on the lake. Accessibility for people with reduced mobility is excellent for both the restaurant and the terrace. I highly recommend it.

A real gem! ❤️ L’Auberge de la Pointe is without a doubt one of my favorite restaurants in Soustons. The setting is magnificent and the atmosphere always pleasant. The dishes are delicious, prepared with quality ingredients and great care. The service is warm, professional, and always attentive, making every meal even more enjoyable.

Our first experience at the Auberge de la Pointe has us eagerly anticipating a return visit to sample the upcoming menus. While we were more than impressed by the delicious and generous food, we were absolutely charmed by Charlène's warm and professional welcome. From the moment we arrived, she was attentive to our comfort, ensuring everything from the breathtaking view of the lake to the refreshing lake breeze. We had the pleasure of chatting with the owners and discovering their admirable values, which we wholeheartedly support in their future endeavors.

Stayed here as cyclists doing EV1 in June 2026. This place is outstanding on all fronts. From the outset, the team couldn't do enough for us. The rooms were newly refurbished with air conditioning and the whole place was quiet and comfortable. The bikes were securely locked away in a storeroom. However, the food... the food was outstanding. The chef has won awards and deservedly. If you are travelling within 100 miles of here, I would divert and go for dinner.

We stayed for two nights and had dinner one evening. The meal featured fresh, cooked, and beautifully presented ingredients. We ate very well, and the view of the lake was magnificent. Our room had a small terrace overlooking the lake and was very pleasantly decorated. The bathroom was large, and we had a lovely, peaceful stay with a view of the lake and a park for strolling. Parking was easy.

We booked a table at the restaurant. The cuisine was of exceptional quality, using excellent local ingredients (cooking techniques, seasonings, originality, etc.). The atmosphere in the dining room was friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend it for sharing a wonderful meal with a view of Lake Soustons.

RESTAURANT REVIEW A quintessential French dining experience. The chef and his wife running the front of the house are well deserving of the recent enthusiastic Gault-Millau write up and the accolades of other recent reviewers. Emphasizing local and regional products, and showing confident and original preparations, the chef delivers a delightful meal. Perfectly seared fois gras and a clever veal tartare with preserved lemon and tarragon were starters, and then a robust plate offering seared lamb chops and braised lamp shoulder followed. Portions are generous, so we passed on the otherwise seductive desserts. Prices are fair for the quality of the food, and the wine list is sufficient. Gracious, unpretentious service. A delight to be able to wander up to one of the six cheerful rooms for the night after a great meal. Highly recommended.

Excellent, almost gourmet meal at reasonable prices. I'll be back for another excellent dinner; don't hesitate, you'll love it! The hotel is also very nice and charming.

Excellent service in a very pleasant setting with a magnificent view of the Soustons pond. The dishes served in the restaurant were refined and delicious.
