Restaurant Belle Vue sur Coucy-Le-Chateau-Auffrique

It's because we can't give it 6 stars. Charming staff, top-notch restaurant, it smells wonderfully of our beloved French countryside, it's so refreshing. Beautiful decor with great taste.

We went to the restaurant for dinner. We had reserved for 12 o'clock, but the door was still closed... I contacted them again by phone and they had indeed forgotten to open the door 🤭 They were very friendly people, though. We had a main course and dessert. Our meat from the plat de boucher wasn't that warm anymore, though. They had asked if they could serve the food already, but we had only finished our aperitif and asked to wait a bit, so I think it was ready anyway. But it was tasty and fresh. The dessert portions were certainly more than enough. The hotel restaurant is located right near the parking lot where you can also visit the castle. And there is a cozy terrace across the street.

We were here on 26/02/26. The room is cozy with a good bed. The bathroom is in the room itself, so there is no partition. Fortunately, the toilet is in an enclosed space. The food at the restaurant was fine. So, on 01/01/2020, New Year's Day, we had a culinary meal here before. This was not really the case on 26/02/26. The photos of the food posted by the owner of this restaurant suggest that culinary dining is still possible. Well, that was certainly not our experience. Presumably, there is a different owner now, but the photos from the previous owner are being used.

Really great service! They helped me out with a roll of tape to fix a problem with a part on my motorcycle. Excellent service. Thanks again!
