The meal for seven people was excellent in both quality and quantity, however, the service wasn't great; there was clearly a staff shortage, which was a shame! The owner was very friendly. We understand that finding trained waiters and waitresses must be very difficult, especially on Sundays.
But the chef's delicious food made us forget all about that.
It was perfect! The carp were nice and plump, not too fatty. Our friends from Tours, who were discovering this specialty for the first time, were delighted... The service was quick and very friendly.
I'd been coming to Munzenberger for years to eat carp, but I took a break for a few months after being disappointed twice in a row. Recently, I heard good things and decided to try again. I'm glad I did; they're excellent again, and I'll definitely be back.
The setting and the staff are very pleasant; I highly recommend it.
We love this restaurant. The food is excellent, we enjoy it every time. The service is sometimes slow, and when we ask for glasses of wine or a carafe of water, they aren't always brought; we have to ask a member of staff again. A very good restaurant nonetheless.
