Restaurant Du Lac sur Secondigny

This was our first time at "Terrasses du Lac." We hesitated because it was a public holiday (so it was expected to be very crowded) and a recent review was quite critical of the wait times. Well, we had absolutely no problems. The service was quick and friendly, and the meal (the tasting menu) was fantastic! And the setting is truly extraordinary; it must be wonderful outside in the summer. We'll definitely be back.

First time at this restaurant (the setting is magnificent, right across from the lake) and we weren't disappointed: a warm welcome, beautifully presented and generous portions. The beef was melt-in-your-mouth tender and succulent. You can taste the expertise and the homemade quality! We had a wonderful time! I highly recommend it! 👍

We received a very warm welcome and had a lovely time at the lakeside restaurant. The cuisine was refined, from the appetizer to the dessert, everything was delicious.

A magical place thanks to its location. Breathtaking view of the lake. The food was excellent. However, the service was completely disorganized. The wait before our order was taken was about 30 minutes, then everything arrived at once: the aperitif, the wine, and the first course. We didn't even have time to drink our aperitif before the starter arrived. Then, as there were three of us, one course arrived first, which we had to eat before it got cold, then the second course 20 minutes later, and then the third course 15 minutes after that, meaning we couldn't all eat at the same time. On the other hand, the waitstaff were very friendly, but I think there's a problem with training and, above all, organization. The two waiters often walk around without looking at the tables or what they could be doing to avoid unnecessary trips. This results in a considerable waste of time and energy. This establishment really wouldn't take much to be perfect. Come on, just a little more effort, you're almost there.

Real cuisine, the kind you rarely find these days. Excellent staff. I highly recommend it.

The dishes were beautifully presented, the ingredients and flavors were refined. The waiter was pleasant, smiling, attentive, and well-organized. There were about 30 people in the dining room, but we were 12. Personally, I and my wife were bothered by the surrounding noise.
