A wonderful discovery at the restaurant in the Pont de Royans Water Museum. The regional cuisine is delicious, generous, and prepared with care. The portions are truly generous, perfect for fully enjoying the local specialties. The view of the hanging houses adds a unique charm to the meal. A warm and authentic place that I highly recommend.

Ideal location for exploring Pont-en-Royans. A very warm welcome both at the hotel and the restaurant. Thoughtful touches that were much appreciated, whether at the water bar or in the restaurant. A special mention for our waiter in the restaurant!

One night with dinner today. We were pleasantly surprised. Everything was perfect. Welcoming staff, very attentive. A good meal and a hearty breakfast. Very clean room, probably recently renovated. Hotel very well located in the village. Museum, starting point for hikes. We recommend it.

We had a wonderful meal at the Water Museum restaurant. The meal was excellent, with tasty and well-presented dishes. The service was good and generally efficient, and the welcome was pleasant. The setting adds greatly to the charm of the experience, especially with the view of the river and the terrace, which make the meal even more enjoyable.

A very well-located restaurant, decent food, a bit pricey, but... Unfortunately, we waited over an hour for our meals. The staff apologized, but a small gesture of goodwill would have been welcome, especially when guests have young children to look after. The starter and main course were very good; however, the dessert wasn't up to par, which left us with mixed feelings about the meal. We hope this feedback helps the establishment improve.

21/09/2024: L’accueil est sympathique, et on y mange bien. Les ravioles étaient vraiment bonnes, tout comme le reste. Belle découverte
16/09/2024: Belle découverte. une bonne table tenue par "des retraités" qui ont repris l'activité après quelques mois de repos car le contact avec les clients leur manquait. Un très bon accueil et une bonne cuisine.

Hotel Beau Rivage Restaurant

07/08/2024: Very good meal this afternoon. Too bad there is no air conditioning in the restaurant room. Downside also on access to the swimming pool which is chargeable even if you have eaten at the restaurant....
30/07/2024: I am rating the hotel here only. Small but clean and functional rooms with air conditioning (We had a room for 3, to free up some space I think it would be possible to replace the table with a simple suitcase rest) Well located on the main road, with the disadvantage that some rooms overlook the street (we had a room on the river side). Another disadvantage: the parking lot is small (less than one space available per room...) and... Payable! Advantage of the hotel: there is a small swimming pool below to cool off, very pleasant setting by the river. On the other hand, contrary to what I read in previous reviews, the owner was completely helpful and attentive. In summary it's not worth 4 stars in absolute terms and according to my way of rating, but given the poor overall rating I put 4 stars because it's exactly the type of address I'm looking for for 1 night during a traveling vacation : a not too expensive housing solution without superfluous comfort. Note that I also had dinner. Cuisine a priori uneven (we only tasted 2 dishes). we took 1 salad which was good, and 1 plate of ravioli with morels which was not: the raviolis were nothing special, and especially the morels were of poor quality. I prefer to have less (much less even given the quantity served), but better. In hindsight given the price it was predictable ("only" €2 extra for morel ravioli compared to normal ravioli). Service not great, we have to ask the waiters (more like waitresses). Overall reasonable prices, with the exception of a glass of red wine for €7 which I didn't finish because it was so bad. It may have been due to the temperature: served at room temperature in July, so it was perhaps 26 or 28 degrees! not taken into account in the rating, I will give the restaurant 3 stars taking into account the reasonable price.
