Good value for money in the park. The food was tasty, but the energy in the kitchen/the guys at the counter was a bit chaotic and not very friendly.

Really nice food especially the chicken tenders with the fries! 😍 prices are "normal" for a disney restaurant inside the park. Good portions. And nice quiet place to sit and relax listening to lion king songs 🎵 😊 bare in mind it closes at 5 so don't go too late.

After a very disappointing first experience for an afternoon snack three years ago,
we tried again on March 10th for lunch.
We had a fantastic meal; it was delicious and flavorful.
The decor was great and the staff were friendly.

Hakuna Matata is our favorite restaurant every time we visit. Unfortunately, during our visit last week, we experienced some disappointments. The portions seem to be getting smaller and smaller, and the food was cold on all three of our visits; so this isn't an isolated incident. It seems that preparing the food too far in advance and the long wait times are contributing to this problem.
It's a shame to see the quality decline while the prices increase.
On the other hand, the cleanliness remains impeccable, and we still love the atmosphere, with the Lion King theme music making the experience pleasant.

I feel it’s just alright, we had the wrap with sweet potato fries, but a portion could be bigger as we both felt we could eat another one of those wraps. Flavour was Ok, ambience is nice and quite a few places to sit as well, but nothing that’ll blow you away when it comes to food.

A friendly restaurant, especially popular with children. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the biggest plus is the option to have lunch while enjoying a Disney show, which is a big hit with the younger guests. There was very little wait at the restaurant. The decor is charming, and the area where we ate, slightly set back from the main dining room, was pleasant and quiet. The experience is similar to fast food, but we had a very enjoyable lunch.

A very quaint and well-themed place, truly pleasant to look at. The fries and drinks are good and are the safest choice. The sandwiches, however, are disappointing, lacking in quality and flavor. Unfortunately, the service is practically nonexistent, poorly organized and takes a long time. The prices are high and the selection is limited. This is good for the atmosphere, but less so for the rest.

It's one of the best restaurants you'll find in terms of value for money at Disneyland. You have to carry your food to the table yourself, and it's a bit difficult to find an empty one. Even so, it's the cheapest and best quality food available inside the park.
